Horror Realm 2010
by Tim Gross • MovieMassacre.com

September 17th, 2010 - September 19th, 2010
Horror Realm now in its second year, breaking away from the former horror festival ‘Zombie Fest’ that was out in Monroeville, Pa., is now starting to make a place for themselves in the horror community as one of the must see conventions for horror movie fans. Yeah, it can be a hard hill to climb but Horror Realm seems to be making one hell of an effort of becoming one of those can’t miss conventions.

Monster-Mania XV
by Mike Kenny • MovieMassacre.com

August 20th, 2010 - August 22nd, 2010
Insomnia mixed with a late night dose of MSNBC's "Lock Up" helped kick off the morning's journey to one of, if not, the best convention on the east coat - Monster-Mania.  This morning was unusual though.  Obviously I was excited but I had a pretty rough time of showing it since me and my girlfriend decided to meet at our buddies house at 4AM.  At this point, many must be wondering "geez, you have gotta live quite a distance from the show to get up that early".  In fact, no I don't.  Not even a little bit.  I live a mere 80 minutes from the location of the convention.  By this point, I'm sure many of you must be asking yourself "okay then why in the hell get up at the butt crack of dawn?".  The answer is simple... John fucking Carpenter.

Famous Monsters Convention
by Kyle Poling • MovieMassacre.com

PictureJuly 9th, 2010 - July 11th, 2010
For a first time convention you could have not done a better job. Having only gone on Sunday I did not get to enjoy some of the sights the con had to offer, Sadly missing out on the Charles Band road show. The vendor hall had everything from the most obscure movies and posters. To awesome art prints to shirts. Unfortunately, random chatter and conversations heard about the convention points to...

WonderFest 2010
by Uncle Bill • MovieMassacre.com

PictureMay 15th, 2010 - May 16th, 2010
Let me first start off by saying that I knew from the moment I drove into the parking lot of the Crowne Plaza Hotel in beautiful downtown Louisville, KY, that this was NOT my crowd. Sauntering somewhere between a cowboy mosey and a sloth-like crawl were several packs of middle-age white men with fanny packs, glasses, Bermuda shorts, and looks of quiet desperation not seen since the Great Depression.

My perspective on this and any other show I review might be a bit different than those of others as I attend as a vendor and don’t get much time away from my table. With that in mind, let me share with you my TFW experience.

Chiller Theatre kicked off their first show of the year on April 16 and ran through the weekend with a huge list of guests. I was very excited for this show because they had many guests from Cannibal Holocaust and other fantastic films.

Mike Baronas of Paura Productions labeled this as the Italian Invasion 2. Chiller usually has a massive guest list with guests from TV, music, and film.

Saturday Nightmares Convention
by Brett Cameron • MovieMassacre.com

PictureMarch 19th, 2010 - March 21st, 2010
Let Me start this off by saying I love the films of George A. Romero. I worship the ground this guy walks on!  To the uninitiated he is maybe just a guy that makes films about dead people coming back to life but in the world of Horror he is royalty and without hesitation my good friend Dominic and I made the trek down to this show to see our hero in the flesh one more time...

Monster-Mania Convention
by The Giallogist • MovieMassacre.com

PictureMarch 12th, 2010 - March 14th, 2010
Monster-Mania Con kicked off its convention season as usual in Cherry Hill, NJ this past weekend (March 12-14).

I was really pumped going into this con, as I thought Dave Hagan and his team put together a really solid line-up. Some of the guests included Dario Argento, Gary and Jake Busey..

Orlando MegaCon 2010
by Nicholas Lane • MovieMassacre.com

PictureMarch 12th, 2010 - March 14th, 2010
"When the economy’s down, the attendance level rises at Megacon", according to Jimmy Palmiotti of 'PainKiller Jane'.  This year’s MegaCon show seemed to be the biggest one yet!  At times the crowd got on your nerves, but with such a large attendance there were more than the usually “interesting” characters about.
