"The tenant in room 7 is very small, very twisted and very mad."

Duane Bradley (Kevin Van Hentenryck) and his deformed Siamese twin brother, Bilal, travel to New York City to seek revenge on a group of doctors who separated them against their will. Shot on a minuscule budget, 'Basket Case' is a perfect example of guerrilla filmmaking at its best, featuring crudely orchestrated special effects and a sizable amount of gore. The best thing about this film is that it also acts as a sort of time capsule in a sense, capturing all of the seediness and urban decay of the New York locality during that time period which no longer exists. I absolutely love this film! If you're a fan of low-grade monster movies or low budget exploitation, then 'Basket Case' is one DVD you'll certainly want in your collection. I also highly recommend checking out other Frank Henenlotter films (especially 'Brain Damage'), as he's one of the most unique filmmakers in the horror genre.
