Looks like I'll be joining the likes of The Creepy Kentuckian, Uncle Bill and possibly others on a brand new website RetroWrestling.net, based around Deadpit's Retro Wrestling Night videos.

I'll be working on a weekly column, giving a full run down of early 90's WWF Superstars TV happenings... including screen shots of all the action.

Below is an exclusive voice mail message left by a Deadpit Radio fan and first time caller Audrey who got yelled at by his mother for sleeping in at work...his boss is blaming more of it on him...and the head ladies in-between...and he has all of these other issues going on with some of them, 'cause they have girlfriends which he can't go into.  But he'll try and call maybe next week.

All I have to say is that I hope he does!

I've gotten some good responses from people e-mailing about my last Ebay blog, so I figured I'd go ahead and do a second one.

Up first, and this very well could be the find of the century.  Remember that inbred looking kid in the infamous "Dueling Banjos" scene in 'Deliverance'?  Well I've found him, on ebay of all places (seller ID: pepaw706), selling autographed 8x10 photos of himself for $15 a piece. The description of his item is absolutely priceless.  Thanks fer looken!

For all you fans of old school folk music, you're in for a real treat.  Up for sale is this classic VHS, "Bob Gibson in Concert".  In this hour long concert live from Ohio University, Bob performs many of his most requested numbers including "The Living Legend", "Play Us Some of the Old Songs", "Abilene", "Yes Mr. Rogers", and "Who in the hell is Bob Gibson?".  Ok that last song title isn't real, but seriously, who in the hell is Bob Gibson? MSRP $24.99, asking price $35,000.00?!?!?!

This guy Erik who I work with posted a link to this video online and I just had to put it on here because it's too damn funny.  If you're a fan of Slayer then this is a definite must see...hell even if you're not a fan of slayer it's still a definite must see.  ANGEL OF DEEEEAAAATH!!!

From time to time I come across some incredibly hilarious ebay auctions and figured I'd go ahead and make a blog so people can check them out.
This one was submitted to me by The Creepy Kentuckian over at Deadpit.com and I just had to post this...Some idiot went to a horror convention and had Derek Mears sign a cheap NECA hockey mask.  Now he's posted it on Ebay, asking $1,200 for it!!!

...and for the extremely low price of $2,299 you can look like a white trash piece of shit just like Rob Zombie...Behold this confederate flag shirt with the word "Hellbilly" written across it.  There's only 10 of these available so you better act fast!

...and lastly, for a cool $2 million you can own Michael Jackson's "Thriller" album supposedly signed by Vincent Price with an extremely dull pencil.  If I had $2 million dollars, I'd bet every cent of it that this autograph was fake.  At least the seller is generous enough to offer FREE shipping though!

So I found out the other day that Joey Belladonna has rejoined the legendary thrash metal band Anthrax.  Joey sang for the group from 1984-1992 and then again in 2005-2007, performing on such classic albums as Spreading The Disease, Among the Living and Persistence of Time.  Joey was also featured on an episode of 'Married with Children' in 1992 titled "My Dinner with Anthrax".
I had the opportunity to meet Joey last year at Spooky Empire's Ultimate Horror Weekend Convention and he was one hell of a nice guy to say the least.  He was supposed to perform again this year at the show, but I would think that's all up in the air now as Anthrax will be in the studio working on a new album and most likely a North American tour to follow.

Here's some footage I recorded at last year's Ultimate Horror Weekend VIP party where Joey got up and sang a karaoke version of "Don't Stop Believin'" by the band Journey.  As well as some clips featuring Jason Lively of 'Night of the Creeps' fame rocking out to various Anthrax tunes.  Enjoy.

So I'll be heading up to Tennessee in a couple of weeks for my sister's wedding, which just so happens to be in the same area and the same weekend as Adventure Con.  I'll probably hit up the convention for a few hours on Friday.  Overall their guest lineup really sucks and there's not too many celebrities I'm interested in meeting or paying $20+ to get an autograph from.
Maybe I can ask David Faustino whatever happened to his brother Michael who starred in 'The Monster Squad'...or ask Billy Dee Williams and Fred Williamson what it was like working with Joe Spinell in several different films over the years.  It could be interesting I guess...

This will probably be the only convention I hit up this year, besides Spooky Empire's Ultimate Horror Weekend in October.  Conventions are getting way too expensive anymore and the stars are getting way too greedy.  I can understand why someone like Robert Englund, John Carpenter, George Romero or John Landis would charge $20-$30 for their autograph.  I mean they are legitimate celebrities who's autograph will only go up in value in the years to come.  But then you have people like Anne Gaybis who played a cashier in Friday the 13th part III...a bit role lasting about 5 seconds, in a film released 27 years ago, and charging the same amount of money as Robert Englund for her autograph!!  I'm sorry but you're not a "celebrity" and neither are any of the other countless EXTRAS who were lucky enough to get a few seconds of screen time in a movie that people care about.  They should charge no more than what it cost them to have the 8x10 printed up at their local Costco and be happy that there's anyone out there who would want their autograph in the first place.

And now the new trend at conventions is celebrities trying to hit up convention goers for extra cash by charging more money to take a photo with them.  It's happened to me several times over the years with people like Corey Haim, Elvira, Tippi Hedren and Linda Blair and I think it's clearly bullshit to the extreme.  If a fan has already paid you $20 or more to scribble your name on a piece of their memorabilia, the least you could do is be gracious enough to stand up and take a quick photo with them so they can cherish the moment.  Instead you're tarnishing the moment by being a selfish prick...squeezing even more money out of them.

I realize conventions are a business and the "celebrities" are there to make money, but at the same time they should realize who their customers are...THEIR FANS...and without their fans they would be nothing.  Stop trying to take advantage of them.

This was originally an idea that Paul "The Gialogist" and myself thought up to put our photoshop skills to use.  I had this listed as a feature article on the site, but figured it wasn't really needed so I'm reposting it as a blog instead.
Horror Fans who write to Angus Scrimm (star of 'Phantasm') requesting an autograph might be surprised to find this lovable family portrait of Angus and his two dogs "Sugar" and "Cappy" in their mailbox.  We thought the picture was hilarious and decided to have a bit of fun with it.

Since most people these days seem to have a blog in which they discuss movies, music or life in general I figured I'd start one as well.  I also thought this would be a good place where I could write special articles that really don't fit elsewhere on the site.  Expect to see a lot more blogging in the future.

and speaking of "future"...One thing that's been a major downer recently is that imdb.com decided to stop offering the "Release Date" information I used for my 'Beck to the Future' article.  Up until a few weeks ago they had an advanced search feature where they would give you an entire list of every movie that was ever released on any particular day.  Of course these lists were huge and it would often take a great deal of time to sort through them to locate all of the horror titles...but it was basically the only site on the internet that offered such a comprehensive list of movies.  The next best thing is BoxOfficeMojo.com but they only go back as far as 1982 and they don't list movies unless if there is verifiable box office data for the film.  Not very useful when I'm just looking for movie releases in general.  I'm hoping in the near future this information is added back on imdb.com for free so I can continue doing the daily article for this site and for the Deadpit Radio Program which I've done since 2008.

Anyway some recent movies I've checked out which I'll likely be doing reviews for on MovieMassacre include 'The Human Centipede (First Sequence)' which I was honestly blown away by when watching it.  The subject matter of the film has gathered quite a bit of heat amongst movie patrons on the internet, along with the film's director Tom Six.  The film is definitely not for everyone but if you're a hardcore horror fan that's not easily offended and can handle more mean spirited genre films like 'Martyrs' or 'Inside', then I'd definitely recommend it.

I also finally had a chance to watch Adam Sandler's latest comedy 'Funny People' which overall I really enjoyed, but damn is that movie long!  I think it clocked in at almost 150 minutes which is insane for comedy/drama.  I also watched an older horror title,  Tibor Takács' 'The Gate II: Trespassers' which was sent to me by my good buddy JDog over at the Canadian Ferox podcast.  Another movie I recommend, although the DVD is pretty hard to come by.  It's not quite as good as the original, but it's a fun movie nonetheless.  Hopefully I'll have some reviews of these films up on the website fairly soon.
